Mark Robinson Jr.On September 9, 2015, the Daily Journal published its annual list of Top 100 Plaintiff Lawyers in California. Robinson Calcagnie, Inc. founding and senior partner Mark P. Robinson, Jr. was named to this list as one of the state’s most influential attorneys. Attorneys are selected for inclusion on this prestigious list based on their “cutting-edge work in litigation, regulation and corporate transactions” within the legal industry.

The Daily Journal, which is known as one of the foremost legal publications in the U.S., created the list after considering hundreds of nominations from members of the legal community, as well as the publication’s own editors and reporters.

As part of the honor, the Daily Journal profiled Mark in a special Los Angeles and San Francisco supplement, which highlights his involvement in several high profile state and federal cases. This includes serving on the Plaintiff’s executive committee in the General Motors ignition switch litigation, and leading the litigation against General Motors on behalf of the state of California, in coordination with the Orange County District Attorney’s office.

The Daily Journal article also highlights Mark’s professional decision early on in his career to transition from defense work to representing individuals in personal injury and products liability cases.

“When I started representing individuals, persons who were hurt or died at the hands of somebody else, it changed my focus and I’ve never looked back,” said Mark.

For Mark, the profile says, “lawyering is the family business.” Several family members have joined his exceptional team of litigators at Robinson Calcagnie, Inc., including his brother, son and daughter.
