Robinson Calcagnie, Inc. Delivers Easter Cheer to Families at Good Shepherd Shelter

Good Shepherd Shelter Easter 2015

Supporting Violence-Free Life

April 3, 2015 – Easter is an excellent time to reflect on all that we are grateful for in our lives, as well as to share that appreciation with those around us. For the past 15 years, the partners, attorneys and staff at Robinson Calcagnie, Inc. have celebrated this time of year by creating colorful baskets filled with lots of bunny cheer for the 12 families residing at the Good Shepherd Shelter in Los Angeles. This annual celebration reminds all of us that human life is precious and should never be violated.

The Good Shepherd Shelter provides safe, long-term housing and support to women and children who have suffered at the hands of abuse. It was founded in 1977, and initially served as an emergency refuge for families fleeing violent or dysfunctional homes. Two years later, the Shelter secured an apartment building to provide safe homes and services for abused families in need of remediation, training and financial support. Today, each family receives the therapeutic and educational services needed to feel secure, regain their dignity, and eventually transition into the community as confident, self-sufficient individuals.

To help support the families in their journey to recovery, Robinson Calcagnie, Inc. personally delivers Easter packages filled with decorative toys, delicious treats and lots of love, hope and wishes,  just in time for the holiday. Monetary donations also help support the families, as well as the Shelter’s efforts to build, enhance and maintain high quality programs.
